Very helpful and caring staff

I have to admit that getting through the admin phase of seeing the actual staff when I enrolled was very slow, now that I am in the system, the on-site nurse and my nurse-practitioner at this location are amazing, both professionally and personally. My nurse practitioner got me seen to very quickly for procedures that I had been procrastinating getting looked into. I am very happy with the medical staff here which to me is my paramount concern. Facilities at the location are quite extensive.

Extremely disappointed with this clinic and their lack of communication. Initially, staff responded to my emails, encouraged me to obtain referrals, and asked me to have my doctor send additional paperwork. I spent considerable time arranging appointments, travelling to different doctors, and obtaining the required referral forms specifically for this clinic. After all of that, communication simply stopped. Multiple follow-up emails have gone unanswered for weeks. I even visited in person to ask for updates, but still received no meaningful response. Patients dealing with chronic health conditions should not have to chase a clinic for basic communication or wonder whether their referrals were even received. The complete lack of follow-up and poor communication has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Unfortunately, my experience with this community health centre has been a waste of time and effort

Leadership in peer support requires more than policies, credentials, and carefully worded mission statements. It requires humility, emotional sobriety, and a genuine understanding of what it means to support people returning from mental health and addiction challenges. When ego, pride, and the need to control take priority over compassion and respect, the very foundation of peer support is undermined. Recovery is rooted in honesty, empathy, and the willingness to listen. Without those principles, even the most polished program on paper can fail the people it is meant to serve. Those of us with lived experience know that healing happens in environments where people feel safe, heard, and valued. True leadership is not about appearances or authority. It is about practicing the principles of recovery in every interaction. Rhonda Skene Do Better 🙏

I just got a very ridiculous call from this clinic. I have been calling them for months to secure a spot for myself and my child after being referred to them. No response at all. Just for their staff to call me and I let them know I already got a doctor. Then she goes “ it would have been nice if you had informed us” you guys need to train your staff or something or educate them on what is going on. I should have informed you how??? Sending a pigeon to deliver a letter???? You never answer your phones!!! I gladly hung up because I had nothing nice to say to whoever that person was. Distasteful and rude!
