“This traditional Chinese meridian massage therapy place has become my go-to wellness place. I first discovered it because it was located near my new place after I moved to the area, but I have continued going because of the quality of care I consistently experience -- even though my extended health benefits cover Registered Massage Therapy, I choose to pay out of pocket for treatments here. Over time, I have found meridian massage therapy to be an important part of maintaining balance and recovering from the stresses of modern life. I appreciate the thoughtful approach to wellness, the commitment to making these services accessible, and the genuine care shown to clients. The focus on holistic well-being and attention to individual needs create an environment that feels both professional and supportive. On one occasion, I experienced an issue with a service, and it was addressed promptly and professionally. I appreciated the responsiveness and commitment to ensuring a positive client experience. “I had a bad experience here before but Sarah had reached out to me apologizing so I gave it another shot. I text Sarah and asked for for an appointment for my wife and I and if I could be massaged by her. Our appointment was confirmed for the next day. We arrived and were shown into a room and told to lay on the beds face down. Then two women entered and began a very strong and painful massage. No questions were asked of us like how do we like it, do we have any issues, any pains, any problems etc. just straight to elbows jammed in the back. Then afterwards as was my issue before they just blatantly asked us for tips. No shame. We didn’t tip and we left in more pain then we had when we entered. “I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent experience. While the massage itself was satisfactory, several factors detracted from my overall experience. First, I found the pricing to be unclear. The website lists different rates for 60 and 90-minute sessions, but I was charged $75 per hour for my two-hour massage, totaling $150. This discrepancy was not explained to me beforehand. Clear, consistent pricing is essential for building trust with clients. Second, I was surprised and uncomfortable with the mandatory tip. While I understand and appreciate the option to tip for good service, making it mandatory is not standard practice and should be clearly disclosed before the session. Finally, the constant bell sound during the massage was very distracting and made it difficult to relax. Addressing this noise issue would significantly enhance the ambiance of the treatment room. I hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve the client experience.
