“At the age of three, we noticed our daughter was having difficulties with her speech development. I went online to find a private speech therapist to help us. Within 24 hrs I received a response from City Speech Centre and an appointment for an assessment that same week. That was when we met Shira and everything changed for us. Within the first half of that initial appointment, Shira pointed out that perhaps the problem was more than developmental. Soon after, our daughter was diagnosed with Velopharyngeal Insufficiency (VPI). After multiple surgeries to repair this condition, we found ourselves back in Shira's office and have been working with her since. I cannot thank Shira enough for the effort she has put into working with our daughter and the improvements that we have seen. Shira has always made herself available to us and has been extremely professional and caring. She has always been honest with us and gone out of her way to help.
