I had dinner at Elisa recently, and overall it was a memorable experience with some excellent food, but unfortunately the service prevented it from being a truly great visit. The food was outstanding. The dry-aged steak was absolutely delicious, the seared scallops were perfectly cooked, and the mashed potatoes were some of the best I’ve had. Every dish was well executed, and the flavors were fantastic. If I were rating the food alone, it would easily deserve 5 stars. However, the overall experience was let down by the service. First, we were seated on the patio despite the hot weather, which made the dining experience much less comfortable. More importantly, when ordering, my friend and I planned to share the 10oz dry-aged ribeye. Our server told us it would be too small (although when it eventually arrived, it was actually noticeably larger than we had expected). Based on her recommendation, we changed our order to the 20oz bone-in ribeye. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, she brought both steaks instead of replacing the original order. We were honestly speechless. While both steaks tasted amazing, we ended up paying an extra CAD $100 because of a mistake that wasn’t ours. We were both exhausted after a long day and didn’t have the energy to argue or send the food back, so we just accepted it. Throughout the meal, the service also felt rushed and indifferent. The server would briefly check in, but before we could really respond or ask any questions, she had already walked away. It didn’t feel warm or attentive, especially considering the price point of the restaurant. Overall, Elisa serves exceptional food, and I would absolutely recommend it for the quality of the steak. However, for a fine dining restaurant, I expect the service to match the quality of the food. I hope the restaurant pays more attention to communication and customer service, because with better service, this could easily have been a perfect dining experience.

Birthday dinner with the fam. Hands down the best steak restaurant I’ve ever been to. Server was super helpful, took his time to introduce the menu to us. Great service throughout the evening Atmosphere was great, awesome vibe, open kitchen design can see how the food was made Food of course is excellent, top steak restaurant in Canada is no joke. All dishes were amazing. They know what they’re doing Without a doubt we will be back

TLDR — Best deal on premium / “real” steaks, amazing interior & service, better sides on granville street but you’re not there for potatoes. Proper Steakhouse. Steaks don’t get much better, they’re very high quality, cooked perfectly, with a good selection of local & foreign sources. I usually get a steak sauce but I didn’t even need one with that bbq drippings on the plate was amazing. I went there for the Australian Ribeye but getting that there is like walking into the Rolex store and buying a Rolex — and I overheard others get turned down on it too. They were out. If you’re looking for that, call in advance to make sure they have it. Regardless, I was very happy with my choices — as you can see got the Holstein and Carrara. And I think the steaks are priced quite reasonably for quality you basically get the experience free. If Loblaws sold steak of that quality it would be priced the same or higher Lol. Place has a very beautiful interior, furnishings, and the service from my waiter she was awesome and really helped with picking. Wasn’t crazy about my sides. $30 for two slices of a very thick Roesti & like what 7 normally breaded onion rings. I’ll have to try different sides next time, or maybe just skip the carbs — those steaks were damn awesome on their own. My number one choice for Steaks in Vancouver.

The most excellent steakhouse in the city, even in the country. There was a FIFA party blasting a block away on a Saturday evening for our birthday celebration, but the moment we entered Elisa, we were transported to opulence and splurge. We had our ideas of what we want to ordered beforehand, but let me tell you, ask your server and sommelier for recommendations! We ended up ordering The Vancouver Cut medium rare and Carrara wagyu. Hands down. Seriously hands down and best carving and imbibing in the city. Wine paring was perfect. The sommelier listened. He matched our price point and taste. Loved it. Can’t miss: - The Vancouver Cut steak - Bison tartare - Scallop Go and splurge.

Wow! What an amazing experience Elisa was! It was my first time going, I took my boyfriend out for his birthday, it was his 2nd time, but he always hyped this place up, and I see why! We got the Ribeye, Waygu Beef, and shared Truffle Mac n Cheese, oh my goooodnes it was delicious. Best well done cooked steak I've ever had. Eduardo our server was lovely as well. Definitely will be coming back!

We enjoyed a birthday celebration. This is our second visit. The experience this time was better. We chose to get more appetizers which have more unique flavours. Steak was good but nothing so different. Sides are good but we made the mistake the first time of getting too many sides which are more filler foods. Recommend doing more appetizers and sharing a steak. Also baked Alaska dessert was good but quite big and heavy so good to share

We had an excellent dinner at Elisa. We shared two ribeyes (one featured Australian and the Wisconsin ribeye) and both wagyu steaks on menu, all cooked perfectly with great flavor and quality. Everything melted in our mouth without much chew! The hamachi appetizer was fresh and well-balanced, while the bison tartare was a standout—rich, tender, and beautifully prepared. Service was attentive, the atmosphere was upscale without feeling stuffy, and the overall experience lived up to Elisa's reputation as one of Vancouver's top steakhouses. Dessert was a nice and beautiful finish to an amazing experience and dinner.

I travel a lot and eat at great restaurants around the world, and Elisa in Vancouver really stood out. The atmosphere is fantastic — elegant but still comfortable. The servers were exceptional, attentive without being overbearing, and clearly know their craft. The Old Fashioned and whisky selection were excellent. They were even happy to make the Old Fashioned with bourbon for me, which I appreciated. For food, the highlight was the Wagyu King River ribeye. I ordered it Pittsburgh style and they absolutely nailed it — beautifully charred outside, incredibly soft and juicy inside. One of the better steaks I’ve had in a long time. Starters were great as well. The burrata was excellent, and the Caesar salad was very good, though I personally would have loved just a touch more seasoning. The picanha was also tender and full of flavor. Another thing worth mentioning: they were very welcoming to kids, which is rare for a high-end steakhouse and something families will really appreciate. Overall, a fantastic experience and a place I’d happily return to. Pro tip: if you can’t get a reservation, be polite to the front desk and take care of them — they work hard and it goes a long way.

This was our first experience at Elisa, and a family celebration with a group of five. Our waiter recommended we dine family style, which was great because we did want to try a lot of different things, and share several cuts of steak. The steak here is on another level, and cooked flawlessly. Outstanding, truly worth every penny. We were however very disappointed with the serving size of most of the sides - when we received them the amounts provided were not suitable for a group of five. We would have been happy to pay for double orders if our waiter had informed us the serving size for the sides is suitable for tables of 1-2, but they did not. This was especially remarkable because they did tell us they thought we had not ordered enough steak, which we disagreed with completely. My impression was that staff had been instructed by management to push the high-value items, and not the rest of the menu. That may not be accurate but that was how it seemed to us. Which is too bad, because we certainly would have been happy to pay more for larger orders of some of their very tasty side dishes had it been suggested! They also forgot our sauces, which was unfortunate when serving such a high calibre main course, and we had to wait several minutes to tuck in while they found those for us. But we were very happy with the food that we did get, when we got it!

🥩 A Masterclass in Steak and Culinary Excellence Elisa in Vancouver provides what many consider to be a world-class dining experience. During my visit, our server mentioned that this was the best steak in the country, and after tasting it, I found it hard to disagree. It was truly one of the best steaks I have had ever, prepared with a level of precision and quality that sets it apart from almost any other establishment. The wood-fired grill adds a distinct, incredible flavor profile that makes every cut special, ensuring that the natural flavors of the meat are the star of the show. ✨ Sophisticated Ambiance and Top-Tier Service The experience at Elisa goes far beyond just what is on the plate. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is upscale and "fancy," providing the perfect setting for a celebratory dinner, a business meeting, or a high-end night out. It feels modern yet timelessly elegant, which justifies the pricier menu that you would expect from a premier steakhouse. The service is exceptional; our server was knowledgeable, confident, and attentive, truly enhancing the overall meal by providing insightful recommendations and ensuring every detail was perfect. Signature Wood-Fired Grill: Features a unique cooking method that imparts a signature smoky flavor to the premium meats. Extensive Wine Program: Offers an incredible and curated wine list that pairs perfectly with their diverse selection of steak cuts. Professional Staff: The service is highly professional, with staff who are clearly passionate about the menu and well-versed in the various origins of their beef. Yaletown Heart: Boasts a vibrant yet sophisticated atmosphere right in the heart of Vancouver’s most trendy dining district. 👍 Final Verdict: Worth the Splurge for Connoisseurs If you are a steak enthusiast, Elisa is a must-visit destination. While it is certainly an investment, the combination of unbeatable food quality and a high-end environment makes it worth every cent. It is rare to find a place that lives up to such monumental praise, but this restaurant delivers on its promise of being one of the best in the business. Five stars for an unforgettable meal that sets a new bar for what a steakhouse can be!
