“I have gone here twice now. They do very thorough exams and Dr. Francis does seem good. However, it does feel a bit like a money grab. When I initially registered for an appointment as a new patient, there were advertisements and sign ups for third party commercial products mixed into the intake forms. It was a bit deceiving as it felt mandatory to complete to attend your appointment...I had to email to clarify that it was not mandatory to complete those forms because the language was ambiguous at best (predatory at worst). I still attended my first appointment last year and had a good experience. This was 12 months and 2 weeks ago. This past weekend, I scratched my glasses and wanted to order new ones. I could not because they made my script expire after 1 year. So i had to pay out of pocket for a visit after less than 13 months because they made my script expire early. My insurance, in line with most plans in Ontario, only cover an eye exam every 2 years. All my previous scripts for glasses, from different optometrists, expired after 2 years (which lines up with the interval which most insurance plans will cover an eye exam in Ontario).When questioned, they said that this is following "guidelines". So again, it felt like a bit of a money grab to get an extra 200$ out of me. I didn't really have an option because you can't purchase prescription glasses without one. “Loved my experience here. I was booked with Dr.Francis and she was exceptional in going through everything with me in a way that was easy for me to understand. I also was going through a skin flare up but I was not made to feel uncomfortable about it at all. I also want to mention the other ladies that helped with my appointment, getting me set up for Dr.Francis - they were lovely and so helpful. “Staff were very professional and the facility is clean, and presentable. The clinic has access the lastest tech as well as a great selection of glasses. Dr Francis is always professional, thorough and friendly. Visits are always a positive experience.”

“I got in for my appointment on time and got through the examination very quickly. As I needed to replace my glasses I was given multiple choices and settled on a pair I loved, also very quickly. “A delightful experience! Claire was efficient and entertaining through my extra set of tests and Dr. Sangster is really great, and I appreciated how knowledgeable and generous she was with her time, explaining everything thoroughly so I never felt rushed, and left my appointment with a thorough understanding. “It was my first time visiting Central Optometry, and I had an excellent experience. From the moment I arrived, the team was warm, welcoming, and highly professional.
