“cant even get on their website to ask questions about a physio i'm seeing for the first time .. and it isn't a connection issue on my end. sad, with all the troubles this province is having with abuse charges etc.”

“Meanwhile the Ontario college is granting license to its interim physiotherapists together with 5 more provinces, this college decides to charge 1250 dollars to each PT for yet another examination. UBC and the College of BC making big bucks ripping us off! They just sit around making up rules wasting the money we pay them, have no idea what physiotherapy really is. A bunch of crooks! plus their director works for CAPR as well! lol I bet they are probably all related, family and friends....Nepotism at its finest! They have messed up the life of hundreds of Physios, clinic owners and patients with their incompetency. Lawsuit is in the works! You will learn to respect us! “I do not recommend wasting your time and money on filing a complaint with this self regulating college. In my experience, this college demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, integrity, morals, respect for the Health Professions Act, patient safety, or in working collaboratively with me to find a suitable resolution to my grievance. Their investigation indicated that college members are under no legal or moral obligations to call 911 when a patient under that members immediate care has suffered a serious, life altering, treatment related injury. No duty to help alleviate human suffering by calling for medical assistance. Think about that. Protect the due paying member, not the public. I would suggest that this college seriously rethink the way it conducts it's business. I have copies of the original complaint, supporting documentation, and all the college's responses.”Read moreShow less

“CPTBC supports CAPR's 4th cancellation of PT licensing exams. It will be almost 2 years since a single new physio enters the field, with over 3000 candidates left waiting, and many more to be added to that list before new dates for exams are tentatively set for August 2021. Absolutely crushing news that candidates mental health, finances, and sacrifices taken to prepare for each delayed exam are not taken more seriously. I could not be more disappointed in our licensing bodies. Candidates expect that our associations, colleges and regulatory bodies adapt to the changing needs, and place pressure on governments to adapt bylaws and legislation when it is called for it. How many times you can set a new schedule and cancel on us before something tangible is done?”Read moreShow less

“I have my physiotherapy qualification from Australia and had to get credentialed in BC. During which- I had to swim through a plethora of bureaucracy. CPTBC were by far the most organised and helpful. I wish I could say the same about other allied health and physiotherapy organisations. “Frustrating, disappointing, Hitler like Dictatorship, what more need be said of an institution which does NOTHING to serve its members except for overly regulate them, disavow licences, pretend to practice public safety by increasing cost of membership and fill their pockets perhaps?
