“I saw Abed for post Achilles tendon rupture rehab. He went off standard protocol and started making me do exercises that were not appropriate for my stage on healing. At my third appointment he showed up 20 minutes late and then I got a severe strain of my Achilles doing exercises that he asked me to do. When I asked my doctor he said those exercises at my stage of rehab were "bordering on malpractice". I strongly recommend you seek care elsewhere.”Read moreShow less

“Abed is a fantastic physiotherapist and my first choice in Ottawa. He is thorough during his assessments, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He has been practicing great safety protocols through the pandemic with virtual sessions. He was able to diagnose the pain in my ankle as a fracture before my doctor did! He is patient and able to explain exactly why he's giving you each exercise for your treatment. I will always highly recommend him to anyone in the region in need of physio. “I have been to many physio clinics throughout my life but when came the time to choose one for my child, I needed to find the best! I highly recommend Capital Physiotherapy and Athletic Performance clinic! Abed is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and very, very professional. He is so kind and understanding of my son's injury's and after only a few sessions he helped my son to get great results. Abed is very current and easy to talk to and make time fly during the treatment. My son was also lucky to attend Ishmael's virtual sessions tailored for young athletes and he is applying what he learned from Ish on day-to day bases. “Our sons have been training with Ismail for the past months, he has been great with them. With the sessions being virtual Ismail’s precision and ability to clearly communicate has been very impressive. Our boys love training with Ismail, we have seen an increase in mobility and strength, as well as endurance. Our boys play basketball and soccer at a competitive level and we believe that the work they are doing with Ismail will help in reducing injuries and will increase their functional strength. “Both my daughter and son are clients of Abed and Ismail. Going to Capital Physio & Athletic Performance has been a game changer. Abed was able to treat my daughter's meniscus where no other physiotherapist could. And, Ismail's personal training sessions are still the highlight of the week for both kids! Even though the training is challenging, it has proven the most effective for both kids as it is personalized based on their competitive sports (curling and basketball). “Ismail has been working with my daughter for a few months to improve movement and muscle strength to avoid injury while still growing and playing at high level sports.
