“Dr Dennis Leung has been my dentist for many years through minor and major dental problems. He has always been caring and thoughtful and shown his great expertise at each visit. When emergency appointments were required I have always been seen promptly and referrals to other dental professionals were made if necessary. “I would like to leave a very negative review about Canterra Dental in Calgary and Dr. Dennis Leung. My husband and I were initially planning to become long-term patients at this clinic. We have very good dental insurance and were ready to build an ongoing relationship with the practice. We booked an appointment and waited about a week. My visit was on January 8. From the beginning, the experience at reception was unpleasant — the staff seemed cold and uninterested. When I was taken into the treatment room, Dr. Dennis Leung came in. My issue was extremely minor: I simply needed a small adjustment to the shape of a tooth after recent treatment at another clinic. The tooth itself had been treated properly, but its shape was slightly different from how it used to look. All that was needed was a minor reshaping/polishing. The doctor examined the tooth for quite some time and then stated that he “could not do it” and that the entire tooth would need to be retreated. There was no clear explanation — just a categorical refusal. It felt either like a lack of willingness to handle a small procedure or a lack of competence. I left the clinic confused and disappointed. On my way home, I stopped by another dental clinic. They accepted me immediately without an appointment. Within 10 minutes, the dentist carefully reshaped and polished the tooth, and the issue was completely resolved. This raises a serious question: if a dentist cannot perform such a simple adjustment, how can patients trust them with more complex procedures? As a result, my husband and I became permanent patients at the clinic that actually helped us and demonstrated professionalism and care. I strongly do not recommend Canterra Dental or Dr. Dennis Leung. A complete waste of time and a very disappointing experience.”Read moreShow less
