One of the best climbing gyms i've been at. Really fun variety of boulders and great vibes. I love the art and the outdoor climbing

Great gym, nice vibes and really techy and smooth setting! Definitely visit if you are in town and want to boulder in Montreal

Maybe most gyms in Montreal are this great, but Cafe Bloc has a nice environment and great variety of climbs and wall angles especially compared to western Canada. As the grading is quite soft but not the softest I've seen, you get a nice ego boost from climbing there. Although I didn't get to climb on the terrace as it was closed, I liked the amount of different places to climb within the gym. The gym is very spacious and well organized. Overall, the vibes are great and the gym is designed very well with spaces to do many things!

Tried to explore this place because I usually go to other gyms closer to me, but it wasn’t a pleasant experience. On their website it showed the price of day pass at 15$ but at the front we needed to pay the full price. Even though they claimed it’s a display error and said it’s my phone’s problem?? It’s absurd. Well, you must show the correct information to your customer no? It felt like a false advertisement. We wouldn't make the effort to come knowing that because it wasn’t easy for us to come here. The gym itself is okay, though it felt less clean than some of the other gyms I've been to. The advantage is the location. It's more for people living downtown who couldn’t drive, but otherwise I wouldn't come here.

Hands down the best gym in Montreal. After taking a break from climbing for a few years, I gave this gym a shot and it made me fall in love with the sport all over again! The setting is varied and allows to learn or practice different moves at any level, the staff is wholesome and always here to help, and the community is kind, helpful, and welcoming (oh and also the coffee is great and sometimes there is a dog that hangs around, kinda perfect). Whether it’s your first time, looking for a new gym, or just want good coffee and company, look no further!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Café Bloc for making my short trip to Montréal (Fri–Mon for a friend’s birthday) so unforgettable. From the start, the vibe was so warm and welcoming— the staff were incredibly kind, and the community made it so easy to connect, talk, and share the experience. The route setting was creative and fun, with challenges that kept me smiling the whole way through. I also really appreciated the variety of footwear and applications available— honestly, way beyond what I’m used to at my home gym. There was one staff member in particular who stood out: she was dressed in white, had short hair, tattoos, and a nose piercing. She went above and beyond helping me with beginner footwear, giving solid advice, and patiently going back and forth to get the right sizes. I felt bad for making her run around so much, but she did it with such kindness, and it really made a difference in my experience. I wish I had caught her name so I could thank her properly. This was my very first time here, and I can genuinely say it was one of the highlights of my trip. I’ll definitely be back in the future— Café Bloc has set the bar so high for what a climbing community should feel like. Thank you again for everything !!

Tout près du métro Saint-Laurent wich makes it really convenient. Sauna, terrasse, staff super jovial et playlist on point + jeux de société et bouffe. Il y a de quoi passer toute sa journée là-bas, vraiment !!

One of the best bouldering gyms i’ve been to. Great route setting of all styles and levels. There’s an attached cafe and a rooftop “outdoor” climbing area.

Cafe Bloc is my favorite bouldering gym so far. They offer drinks and snacks, and the general ambiance is amazing ! There are quite a lot of walls and levels for everyone. I love that they have two areas for stretching and a mini gym with weights and bars. The place looks clean and cozy, with plants and paintings on the wall, some sofas to lounge while you rest or watch other people climb. I would recommend trying their oat milk lattes ! They also have a terrasse on the roof with one extra wall during summer and some chairs and hammocks. Like in most bouldering gyms, people are very friendly and helpful. ❤️ They have nice showers and a small locker room. Great shoes selection. One of my favorite things is their shared sauna. It's the reward after the session ! I think every gym should have one !
