Absolutely fantastic class with this group (Kanata location in Community Life Church). The support of the instructors / coaches is top notch and the time goes by fast with their supportive mentoring. Struggling? They got you!! They specialize in Parkinsons but, as someone without physical limitations, I found the class fun with good fitness level. I'd say this would be for anyone looking for a challenge with many variations to fit your skill level. The participants are friendly and sit together before class (and I was told that they go for coffee, breakfast after). You're getting much more than a workout!! Visit the website to see class times in multiple locations across the City.

Online Boxing 4 Health has been an amazing option for me since I am unable to drive to the gym in Ottawa. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, encouraging trainers provided me with a one hour workout using big movements, cardio, balance and strength exercises all combined into a fun workout. Each workout kept me motivated and allowed me to challenge myself or take it easy on the days that my fatigue was high. Thank you for this awesome opportunity!

I have been a customer of Boxing4Health now since October 2025 and am quite pleased with the quality and intensity of the training sessions. The staff and instructors have been most helpful and professional. They are invariably well prepared for each class, and provide encouragement throughout the sessions to all boxers. I highly recommend Boxing4Health.

I have been going to the Boxing-4-Health classes for about one year and have had Parkinson disease (PD) symptoms for about 18 months. These classes have had a significant and positive impact on me, and I plan to attend them for the rest of my life. Why is that the case? We know that exercise improves many symptoms of PD. People with PD who exercise regularly report that they move and feel better and have more energy. However, clinical trials have also shown that regular and intense exercise slows down the worsening of PD symptoms. It is worth noting that the drugs prescribed for PD also improve symptoms, but no drug has shown the ability to slow down the worsening of PD symptoms as effectively as intense exercise. These classes cover many different types of exercises; strength, balance and aerobics. Every class ends with a boxing session where we all hit punching bags as hard as we can. Boxing is most certainly an intense and aerobic exercise. You might say that it sounds very difficult to exercise at such a level regularly? If you tried to do this on your own that would be true, but in a class and group setting working hard is much easier. Each person gets the attention that they need from the instructors, who are all competent, caring and positive. There is also a team spirit in the activities, and being in a class with other PD patients is very motivating. In one of the Boxing-4-Health videos the slogan on the wall is “No matter where you start, where you end up is up to you”. I encourage anyone considering Boxing-4-Health to try the classes. You will be happy that you did. Gerhard Roth

I started off with 10 passes membership but realising the benefits I have gone to an yearly membership. Sure I will miss some classes but the overall gains are worth it. The instructors make sure that you are safe and exercising to your maximum capacity. Highly recommend B4H!
