“I was looking for a new physiotherapist in Red Deer to help treat my TMJ. While the physiotherapist was pleasant enough, the actual assessment lasted no more than about 30 seconds before treatment began. I was surprised by how quickly we moved into hands-on treatment without what felt like a thorough evaluation. The treatment itself was unbelievably aggressive and extremely painful. I've been receiving physiotherapy for years, including treatment for TMJ, and I can honestly say I've never experienced anything like this. My jaw was manipulated and pulled apart with a level of force that felt beyond excessive, and I was uncomfortable throughout the entire treatment. Unfortunately, After the alleged 'treatment', my jaw completely locked. It's now been over 36 hours, and instead of improving, my symptoms have only gotten worse. I understand that some soreness or mild inflammation after treatment can be normal—that's something I've experienced before with physiotherapy. However, what I experienced was far beyond normal post-treatment discomfort. This wasn't typical soreness; it was a dramatic worsening of my condition. The level of pain, the complete locking of my jaw, and the fact that it has continued to deteriorate are, in my experience, far beyond what could reasonably be considered an expected reaction to treatment. I've had physiotherapy for years from a number of different practitioners, and never have I left an appointment feeling so much worse or feeling that so little care was taken with my comfort and response during treatment. I'm now out $95 and left dealing with a significantly worse jaw than when I walked in. I can honestly say this was the worst physiotherapy experience I've ever had - it bordered on malpractice. I will not be returning, and based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone seeking treatment to look elsewhere.”Read moreShow less

“I’ve had a great experience here. The staff are friendly, professional, and genuinely care about helping their patients. They took the time to listen to my concerns, explain everything clearly, and create a treatment plan that made sense for me. The clinic is clean, welcoming, and appointments run smoothly. “I've visited Dave and his team at Bone & Joint Physiotherapy for multiple issues now... because each time I have a new one, I come back! Dave has helped relieve my pain from bad shoulders, back and hips, he has helped me heal from injuries like tendonitis, and he also identified and addressed the cause of my debilitating migraines, which are now, thankfully, few and far between!! When I recommend Dave, I refer to him as a wizard, because what he does is nothing short of magical! And whenever the person I'm recommending him to has already visited Bone & Joint Physiotherapy it always immediately prompts the beginning of an excited conversation about how amazing Dave and his team are! The amount of relief I feel after seeing Dave is immense. As well as that, the ladies on the desk always remember my name and greet me with a smile, and all of the staff there are so friendly, caring and attentive. They keep everything so clean all the time, and so efficiently.
