“This is my go to for massage. Of course it is...I used to work here until I started my own healing business! I see Tara and she is a must see for massage. The staff here is excellent, friendly and knowledgeable about retail and their therapists styles. The protocols for COVID-19 are fully in practise here, kudos to them for keeping vigilant with it! “I had booked a 50 minute RMT massage for 2 PM. RMT got me at 2:01PM. Chatted with me for a couple minutes. My actually massage started at 2:06. The RMT was done by 2:47 PM, not sure how this equates to 50 mins. I was shorted 10 mins. When I inquired about this, the girl at the til goes "the RMT spends 10 mins in the beginning assessing you." I'm like no he took like 4 minutes to chat with me. So then she changes what she said. She's like "yeah, the RMT counts assessment and after care as part of the 50 mins." I was baffled. I have been to the Spa Utopia locations and NEVER have they said after care is included in the 50 mins and typically my massage is 50 mins or close to. The massage itself was great. I suspect they receive direction from management because the exact same thing happened with my husband a few days ago. He was supposed to get a phone call...but I wouldn't count on that. “Who knows what the massage was like. I didn't even make it that far! So, I booked in for a one-hour appointment. I went online and filled out the assessment. The day of my appointment, I went to work early so I could leave early and make it on time. 12 minutes prior to my appointment (yes, I was already parked outside, all set to go), I receive a call from Body & Salt telling me that my RMT was late. Wow. 12 minutes notice. Thanks so much. After I rescheduled my whole day. I was begrudgingly offered a half hour massage - I suppose this would take place when their RMT could bother to show up to work. I had a medical claim for this, and half an hour wasn't what I was looking for. Since I was already there, I went in to express my displeasure. I was told that I would be getting a call from the Manager of the location, by way of an apology. Well, it's almost a week later, and I still haven't go the call. So, don't bother.
