“I came to see Dr. Mark 14 years ago as recommended by my son’s paediatrician. I came in as a patient who hadn’t seen a dentist in close to 10 years due to severe dental anxiety. I required medication to calm my nerves to last a whole exam. My exam needed to be done as a manual cleaning with no machines and I would need a break halfway through to calm down. Dr Mark has always been patient and kind and suggested I start doing my appointments in half visits and freeze my mouth to avoid all discomfort . Excellent idea and I welcomed it. He never made me feel embarrassed for my emotions. About 3 years ago I started seeing Shelly at the practice for cleanings and provided me with a new dental directive on my progressive periodontal disease. In 3 years, coming in 4 times a year; I no longer required taking anxiety medication, I no longer require freezing, my periodontal disease is no longer progressing, I am so comfortable In the chair now that I doze off. My last 4 appointments I have been able to have a full exam and full cleaning in one go. Shelly, took my patient care to heart and her bedside care to a new level. She has broken my shell and I look forward to seeing her and Dr Mark. Dr Mark’s hit the jackpot with his support staff; Nicole & Andrea. The pair are inviting at every visit.
