“I had a very disappointing experience with an eye exam I had here about a year ago, which was conducted by an optometrist named Rebecca. I came in specifically to get my eyes checked for contact lenses. After wearing the prescribed contacts for about a week, I noticed that my vision was not clear and that I was experiencing blurriness and ghosting. My eyes felt strained and had difficulty focusing. I called the clinic twice to report these issues. However, I was simply told that the contacts were made according to the prescription, and no further examination, recheck, or adjustment was offered. The issue was essentially dismissed. Over the past year, I ended up wearing contact lenses very rarely because every time I tried, my vision felt uncomfortable and unclear. At the time, I even questioned whether I was personally unable to adapt to contact lenses. Recently, I had my eyes re-examined by another optometrist and discovered that the prescription from this clinic was significantly stronger than both my earlier prescription from several years ago and my current one. Specifically, one eye was over-prescribed by approximately 0.75 diopters, the other by about 1.00 diopter, and the astigmatism correction was higher by roughly 0.50 diopters. This helped explain why I struggled with unclear vision for such a long time. “Wanted to give Eddy a thank you and recognition for helping me last Saturday. I ordered a set of contacts from somewhere else and they were being delayed in the mail. I play sports and needed something right away. I walked into Blundell Centre Optometry after grabbing my coffee, not thinking they were going to be able to help me (but I tried anyways). I met with Eddy and explained I needed another set of contacts while I wait for mine to come in the mail. He asked for my prescription and did a contact lens fitting session that gave me a set of 10 days of dailies to try. Thank you Eddy for making me feel welcomed in store and not making me feel like my question was weird (because I thought it was a weird request LOL). “Wife and I, a semi-retired medical profession, have experienced the serves from many optometrists and Ophthalmologists around town. Many years, many pairs of glasses have come and gone. Dr. Liang is very thorough and careful; she checked our eyes and visions. She explained to us the statues of our eye’s health, teaches us how to clean and protect our eyes and a prescription, so I can see better and still drive. “It is hard to find a good optometrist, but I am happy I finally found one. Doctor Anne Liang is a wonderful optometrist. She is kind and full of knowledge.
