Counselling services are not covered by MSP. However, many extended health plans include coverage for sessions with Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs). If you have extended health benefits, we recommend verifying with your provider to confirm eligibility and understand the details of your coverage.
GST Exemption Update: As of December 20, 2024, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has confirmed that psychotherapy services provided by RCCs in British Columbia are now exempt from the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

“Told me they'd do the paperwork in order to get them paid through veteran affairs prior to setting appointments. Only after many appointment and raking up a debt did they tell me they won't do it anymore and sprung a very large bill on me.
