Beth Hoag is a fabulous physiotherapist. She is highly knowledgeable about the experience women face in the breast cancer journey. I strongly recommend that you consider her to guide your physical recovery due to breast cancer surgery and treatments. First, Beth listened to my full journey. She empathized with me and affirmed my experience. I felt confident that together we would make progress, and we did. Second, she brought her deep understanding of the physical challenges in recovering strength and flexibility after surgery and treatments. After each appointment, I felt a sense of exuberance. I was making progress, getting back to "me". And, she would give me ideas about how to navigate other issues, such as other resources I could tap into (Breast Cancer Action). I want to joyfully thank her for being so kind, calm and positive. Eleanor

Beth was recommended by an osteopath after my mastectomy and free flap reconstruction. Beth's patience in answering questions and compassionate demeanor allowed me to feel very comfortable with her from the first session. This was a source of great comfort during a challenging time. Beth taught me exercises that are specific to my situation and these continue to be very helpful in recovering my range of motion and in managing the complications from the surgery. Beth's help is a huge blessing and I highly recommend her for cancer rehabilitation.

Beth has been an integral part of my care team, and I can't recommend her enough for rehabilitation following cancer treatment. She has so much knowledge, understanding and compassion. My first session with Beth was the first time throughout my cancer treatment that I felt like an active participant in my care, and it was very empowering. She has also been a life saver in helping me manage some of the long term side effects that my oncology team did not adequately prepare me for. Physio with Beth has had an immediate and tangible improvement to my quality of life during a very vulnerable time, and I am so thankful!

Beth helped me so much with my recovery after having a Mastectomy. She continuously helped me so much with exercises to prevent Lymphedema. With her help I was successful with my recovery. She is very patient and kind. I would not hesitate to recommend her as she has been the best physiotherapist I have ever worked with.

Shared on behalf of my wife Christene: When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in the spring of 2023, as a RN I knew I would need support. I was very fortunate to be provided Beth’s name from another health care professional. From my perspective, physiotherapy is an essential service post surgery and radiation to ensure you regain maximum arm and shoulder strength. Beth is professional, knowledgeable and an expert in breast cancer surgery recovery and lymphedema care. She has become an important part of my recovery team and has helped me to achieve my personal goals and regain my physical strength after a complex cancer diagnosis and treatment.

I developed Lymphedema 3 months after I completed my treatment for breast cancer. I did my research to find a physiotherapist who was a trained specialist in this field. I found Beth Hoag and cannot say enough good things about her. She was booking 6 weeks out but made room for me right away. She is a very skilled practitioner who is compassionate and kind. I felt very comfortable with her from the first moment I met with her. I am pleased to say that my lymphedema is under control at the moment and it is thanks to Beth. I highly recommend her cancer rehabilitation services and would not hesitate to contact her.

The best decision I made was to visit Beth two weeks after my surgery so I could immediately work on post-op complications. She taught me a lot about the body and to have reasonable expectations for recovery timelines. We worked on helpful exercises, drainage massage, and I learned about prevention strategies for lymphedema through her very thorough online courses. I am extremely grateful to have someone with Beth’s professionalism, kindness and expertise to guide me as I go through my cancer journey. I feel blessed to have her support!

I have been a client of Beth's for 9 years. She is an excellent physiotherapist, personable, professional and compassionate. I have been cancer free for all of these years but have had some short term and long term physical challenges that Beth has helped me beat. I am physically better than I have ever been thanks in large to Beth's treatments and advice. Her guidelines with respect to exercise has been invaluable. She has customized my exercises and treatments specifically to meet my condition.

As a physician and breast cancer patient, I believe that Beth has a unique personal and professional experience that made and continue to make an important difference at each steps of my cancer journey. I really appreciate her private and cozy home office, especially when going through chemo. No busy medical waiting room with coughing patients, no need to wear a wig, and no hospital parking! Everyone going through cancer should see Beth at least once in their cancer journey. She is an essential part of the team for a better quality of life.

Recommends

Having had 30 years of physiotherapists, Beth is simply one of the best! while some physio treat symptoms, Beth is skillful at finding and treating the root cause.
