“Theresa has an amazing personality. However, the therapy didn't work for me, much as I had really high hopes that it would. I had 4 sessions last September. On the 3rd session, one of the movements Theresa made around my upper right leg gave me a sharp pain. Then I got up from the session with this pain in my groin that I could not explain away. She tried to move around my tailbone to try to fix it. For a minute it felt like it went, but I limped as I got home. Hoping the 4th session would fix it, I went again, but this time the pain got worse after the session. I really thought it was one of those things that would go away, so I thought to take a break until it did and canceledmy 5th session. 5 months later, i'm still 'taking a break' as the pain has not gone away. Instead, it now keeps me awake at night, and it feels like a bad dislocation. I really wish Bowen worked for me.. I was so hopeful. Now I regret trying. Update: After seeing her comment, I decided to update. My last session with her was Sep 29. I had an x ray done on the leg back and hip, and there was no disc issue whatsoever. I do not have a disc issue. However, she did not consider postural problems or even muscle pain and proceeded to pull and twist, without properly accessing my body. “Theresa is so knowledgeable and passionate, if the consultation was all I’d got I’d have been content. She listened to my history, understood things I thought nothing of and asked questions to answers I’ve never told anyone else about. “Theresa at Best of Health has been fantastic! I was suffering from pain related to fibromyalgia so much that it was difficult to get out of bed some days. Theresa was compassionate and kind and treated my inflammation over a course of Bowen treatments. Now I go for periodic maintenance and am so much better it’s hard to believe!
