“​I found Barrie Essence on Google and thought I should give it a try. I had my first session, and at first, everything was pleasant and going smoothly. The needles were placed on the back of my neck where my pain was, a heat lamp was set in place, and I was given a bell in case I needed assistance. ​After a few minutes, the heat started to burn my skin. I rang the bell several times, but no one answered. When my time was up, the acupuncturist came back in to remove the needles. I told her what I had experienced, and she claimed I had to ring the bell "continuously"—which I did. ​My skin was burned. While I am aware that I signed a liability waiver releasing them of responsibility for the treatment, I feel this specific incident was a case of negligence and a total lack of care because she was attending to other patients. Fortunately, I will not be coming back. REPLY: I rang the bell more than once and nobody came. The burn is from the heat i had thats the reason I called for assistance.”
