“I fell and broke my ankle while my husband and I were camping/canoeing in the Quetico. Fortunately, we were able to call for help and I was brought to the Atikokan hospital. I don't think I could have received better care anywhere else! Everyone was amazing - the nurses all went out of their way to make me feel safe, comfortable and help us figure out what to do next. Dr Miner reduced my fracture (with the help of 3 wonderful nurses - Mike, Kiara (I can't remember everyone's names - there was a lot going on) When I finally got back to Minnesota, my orthopedic surgeon said that my ankle was perfectly reduced. Everyone I came in contact with from Xray, the lab, the kitchen etc.was professional and caring. This was my first out of the USA healthcare experience and as a nurse, for more than 40 years I can say that the Atikokan hospital is an excellent place to receive emergency and inpatient care.”Read moreShow less

“The Atikokan Hospital has taken care of me through many illnesses. From the age of 12 and on to the present day. The staff are fantastic, from imaging to bloodwork to nursing, everyone is caring & professional.”

“Great hospital with friendly staff. My girlfriend started work there recently as an OT and received a very warm welcome. 1 star review is undeserved and is clearly based off personal bias.”
