I have been a patient at Altima Dundas Square Dental since 2004 and have always received exemplary care and attention in both scheduled and emergency visits. What makes Altima Dundas Square special is the people who work here, I enjoy every visit and often find myself wanting to stay just a little bit longer, whether chatting with Jolanta at the front counter or with Dr. Baker in the chair, every experience is special!

Having sensitive teeth ,i never enjoyed the dentist until i used Altima. Crissy cleans my teeth with no stress and pain, with the dentist giving the right amount of attention afterwards. I'm in good hands

My family had dental cleaning today with Amantha and Sang and it was amazing. Both of them were gentle and the whole process was so comfortable. Dr. Sana is very good with us and she makes it so easy to understand our dental related problems. She is very kind with kids. My kids were so happy and relaxed, not a single uncomfortable moment for them. So happy we came at Altima for our dental services.

Had my wisdom teeth extracted and it went amazing well. The nurse who helped the dentist was very thorough on how the procedure would go and the after care of looking out for my mouth. The dentist did an amazing job making sure I was okay and letting me know what is happening throughout the procedure.

A poor experience with Altima Dental . In late February 2026, Dr. Baker treated my “pain free” tooth by removing the tooth’s existing filling and replacing it with a new filling as he suspected decay. I was told that the procedure would be pain free, easy to do, and only required one visit - this was not the case. Treatment of my “pain free” tooth involved drilling, removing and replacing the filling on the tooth. He worked on this tooth 2 times, and on 2 separate dates because his first treatment failed and resulted in acute pain and discomfort for me. In other words, he redrilled, removed and replaced the same filling on 2 separate occasions. Dr. Baker’s second attempt to treat this tooth to relieve the pain caused from his first treatment was not successful and only made the pain worse. Since Dr. Baker's dental treatment I have experienced ongoing ACUTE pain, sensitivity to cold, difficulty sleeping, and I have had to restrict the chewing of my food to only one side of my mouth (to reduce the pain). I reduce pain by drinking cold water with a straw to avoid contact with the tooth. I am also using medication to keep the pain manageable. I never had any problems or pain with the tooth before his dental treatment and now I do. The dental treatment I received from Dr. Baker has seriously impacted the quality of my life in a negative way! Not wanting to return to Dr. Baker, I found another dentist who quickly and accurately assessed the tooth problem and immediately referred me to an Endodontist. Based on new X-rays and my pain symptoms, the only solution to eliminate my tooth pain is a root canal at a cost of $2200. I will then need to pay for a Crown for that tooth which is over $1500. Dr. Baker was paid $253 to fix my tooth. He promised a pain free and easy experience which did not happened. I now have to pay a future bill of $3700 to fix my chronic tooth pain - pain that I never had before seeing Dr. Baker. I won’t be returning to Altima Dental or Dr. Baker.

I recently saw Carla for a dental cleaning, she was very gentle and took the time to educate me on proper home care. Will definitely be returning to see her

My worst experience at Altima Dundas Square Dental Centre. Last year, I accidentally chipped a tooth on a chicken bone and went to Altima for a simple filling. A few days later, I began experiencing severe pain and had to rely on Tylenol to manage it. I returned to the clinic to have it checked by another dentist, who confirmed there was an infection. After looking at the X-ray, he said, 'If I had done the filling, this infection shouldn't have happened; he probably drilled too deep.' I was then scheduled for a root canal. During the two-week wait for that appointment, I was in excruciating pain. After the procedure, I was charged the full amount, which used up my annual insurance coverage. After the root canal, I was given prescriptions for antibiotics and painkillers, but I wasn't told to take the medication immediately, nor was I given any relief before leaving. While driving home on the highway, the anesthesia wore off and the pain became so intense I had to pull over at a pharmacy. Recently, I booked a cleaning for my daughter and myself and inquired about a crown for that same tooth. I was told insurance would only cover 50%. When I explained my concerns about the previous treatment, they refused to offer an adjustment or take responsibility. I decided to leave immediately, feeling very disappointed. Goodbye, Altima March 22, 2026 Responding to Altima's message: What else do you want to talk about? I came in with a completely healthy tooth. After what should have been a simple filling, the tooth became infected due to improper treatment. As a result, I was forced to undergo a root canal, permanently killing the tooth. My insurance coverage was wasted on correcting a problem that was not my fault, and I had to endure significant nerve pain because of this negligence. Despite this, the person responsible for damaging my healthy tooth has refused to take accountability or correct their mistake. This is unacceptable and reflects extremely poor and unprofessional business practices I am not coming back, and I am extremely terrified by what you have done to me. If you want to resolve this problem, I need fair compensation.

I went to Altima Dental based off on the reviews on google. The staff is accommodating and friendly. I went in for a cleaning and personally did not feel like the dentist was gentle. I did appreciate the extensive check up that was done. However, immediately after my cleaning the dentist asked me to leave a 5 star review on google. The dentist then told me the dental office sells Oral-B electric toothbrushes so I decided to buy one. When I got home, and opened the toothbrush box I found human hair inside the box. The office did offer to refund the money, however, due to hygenic reasons I will not be going back to this office again.
