“I started physio at Advantage in 2021 after a spinal cord injury. I was having severe neck and hand pain after surgery. The therapy received was very effective and I continue with it as a maintenance treatment. Pain and stiffness are reduced, which has been a huge benefit to me and makes my life much more pleasant. The physio staff are excellent here and also the front desk staff. A top notch group for physiotherapy, I recommend them.”Read moreShow less

“I was referred to advantage physiotherapy which was the worst experience ever. They have no respect to their patients. The physiotherapist was only interested in what he was saying and does not listen to the patient concerns. I asked my family doctor to change my physiotherapist and I am satisfied with the one I am visiting now where I feel more respected and can actually feel some improvement. “I was referred here by my surgeon after a complication from trigger finger surgery. The physiotherapist decided to attempt to pry my finger open repeatedly despite it being locked in a bent position. I was going twice a week and after two weeks of no improvement he told me to start coming three times a week. These appointments were pure torture, I even cried at one point and he wouldn’t stop trying to pry it open. Turns out this place shouldn’t have even taken my case on. WSIB called me and informed me that this place is unable to properly treat my injury. I was referred to a specialized clinic who said prying my finger open is the absolute worst thing you can do to it. So happy I don’t have to come back here and I’ll urge anyone to avoid this place. Perhaps next time don’t start treatment on someone when you don’t know how to help them.”Read moreShow less

“My experience (before even becoming a client/patient) felt so sketch. I called and there was no answer, it went to a voicemail that was not initialized (felt like it was someone’s personal cell and unprofessional) I did get a call but was asked to email a pic of my health card (along with the referral from my doc) which felt unsecure, asked my family doc and she said no thats not how it should be done. After reading the other reviews for this clinic I will be trying Sunnyside instead - I just don’t feel confident about advantage with my experience before even going in…”Read moreShow less

“There are no real physiotherapists there other then the supervisor, they're all Conestoga college students and completely disinterested and useless. When my allotted OHIP treatment hours were done after a few sessions the supervisor said "I was as good as I was gonna get" lol even though I was no better then when I started! “I have lupus and kidney failure which I’ve undergone chemo IV over the past year. I had two seizures that broke both shoulders due to complications in July. Because OHIP is paying for my rehabilitation they offer a lower rate. So I received minimal treatment. I never once received a half hour session. I only know the timeframe from the people giving me rides to my appointments. I just had another set of seizures that put me in the hospital for another 8 days in LTC. I woke up not remembering everything from the past 8 months. And even further behind in my overall progress, but apparently I’m fine to no longer continue. I feel taken advantage of because of my last head injury. The rest of physio workers seemed friendly, only one secretary of two was nice.
