“I just finished a massage at this place and I was very disappointed. To begin with a couple of hours before my appointment, the masseuse that I booked with called me from her personal phone number, asking if we could move my appointment one hour back. I said that would be fine and I showed up 7 minutes before the new appointment time. When I arrived, the door was locked. I knocked and stood in the window, but no one came to open it. I figured it would be opened as soon as my appointment had started. Five minutes later another customer was leaving the building and unlocked the door. I entered and there were three of the workers in the lobby. I’m not sure why the door had been locked or why my knock wasn’t responded to. The masseuse I was assigned was not yet there so I waited a little bit- not a big deal. When she arrived she was speed walking in and talking on her phone. She hastily got the room ready and called me in. The room was bright, the table had a top sheet, but no fitted sheet, there was a chair and a folding tv table in the room. Hardly a serene environment. The masseuse didn’t ask me what I wanted in regard to pressure or where to focus- she got started. As I lay face down on the table I could feel a bar digging into my face. Afterward, I looked at the bar for the headrest spans across the opening in the head rest(see image). This was incredibly uncomfortable- though no fault of the masseuse. During the session she wiped her nose on a tissue and silenced her phone. After 30 minutes she packed up. My appointment had been scheduled for one hour, but because she had moved the time, it got cut short without me knowing. Other aspects of this place were not ideal: there is no sound proofing, so I could hear others talking as I was being treated, the tables/blankets aren’t heated, the environment is very stark and harsh. “Matthew is very knowledgeable and has helped me over the years with pain and insomnia issues. He goes out of his way to help his clients. I highly recommend him! I recently had tri-geminal nerve damage from dental surgery. Strong pain meds didn’t touch the discomfort. I had three acupuncture treatments for pain with Matthew followed by three chiropractic treatments with Kory for healing.
