Sometimes life can feel like a lot to carry. You might be navigating grief or loss, a difficult or overwhelming experience, a major life transition, or simply trying to make sense of how you’re feeling. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out for support.
I’m currently completing my Master of Social Work in Clinical Social Work Practice at the University of Calgary and provide counselling to youth 16+ and adults. I support people navigating:
- Grief, loss, and life after loss
- Difficult or overwhelming life experiences
- Low mood, worry, and emotional overwhelm
- Change, stress, and life challenges
- Body image and developing a more supportive relationship with food and body
- Emotional and mental well-being
- Self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-trust
- Relationships and interpersonal challenges
- Life transitions and identity exploration
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I draw from narrative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches, and I’m interested in understanding not only what you’re experiencing, but the relationships, systems, communities, and experiences that have shaped you.
Before joining Breland Counselling, I worked across healthcare, mental health and addictions, and community social work. I have supported people and families through complex circumstances, grief and loss, crisis, health challenges, and significant life changes. I bring this experience alongside my ongoing clinical education and supervision.
As an MSW student, my counselling practice is provided under the clinical supervision of Ashley Breland, MSW, RSW #2888, owner and clinical lead at Breland Counselling & Support.
