With a direct yet warm approach, Ro places a strong emphasis on building a secure therapeutic relationship. Through this connection, she supports clients in developing an internal sense of safety, helping to regulate the nervous system and create space for reflection, emotional processing, and the integration of therapeutic tools. Ro supports individuals and couples navigating relationship challenges, sexual concerns, life transitions, parenting issues, and perinatal mental health. She has a particular interest in sex therapy, helping clients explore intimacy, desire, and connection in a way that feels safe, empowering, and aligned with their values. Ro brings a culturally humble lens to her work and is mindful of the impact that culture, identity, and intergenerational experiences can have on emotional wellbeing and relationships. Her approach is emotion-focused and attachment-based, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and somatic-based approaches. Ro works collaboratively with clients to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs and goals. Outside of the therapy room, Ro enjoys cooking, watching hockey, thrift shopping, and spending quality time with her family. She values warmth, humour, and authenticity both in her personal life and in her work with clients. In her free time, she enjoys cozy nights in and unwinding with reality TV.
