Matt is an enthusiastic therapist who loves to help people. Originally attending school in hopes of becoming a police officer, Matt has always felt the calling to help people. After deciding policing wasn’t for him he turned to Massage Therapy. Over his schooling Matt has honed his skills to become an effective therapist, learning and implementing several advanced techniques, understanding common problems and ailments, as well as providing constant communication between himself and his clients to ensure they are involved with the process and understand their treatment. Matt believes in an aggressive approach to treatment, using heavy pressure techniques such as pin and stretch, myofascial release, and PNF stretching to attack tense musculature and restore balanced function. Matt has shown particular interest in issues dealing with the neck and shoulders, particularly those issues that affect individuals who sit for work. He also has experience dealing effectively with mid to low back pain. Outside of practicing Matt is a fantastic cook, understanding the importance that nutrition plays in overall health. He enjoys walking and hiking with his dog, playing various sports (particularly hockey and soccer), doing woodworking in his spare time, and learning to play the drums.
