“I was a client of dr Rioux. He is competent and a good chiro but the format of 10 mins per visit, felt cold. Wasn't there to chit chat anyways but to get relief from back problems. Had a good patch, took care of my back so no appointment needed for over 10 months. Went today for a much needed adjustment which he did.
Went into the cabinet, he made me do movements, nothing much, bend down, arch backward, tilt left to right, made me sign a paper and he proceeded to the adjustment.
When it was time to pay, I was told that I was charged 45$ for a re evaluation. Ya think they could have mentioned this tidbit before proceeding.
It was basically "Surprise" at the cash register, instead of 68$, it was 113$. Sad but he lost 2 clients since I also went with my teen when he needed an adjustment.
Not sure if it was an evident lack of communication but being told after the fact and not before left a very sour taste.
He is a good chiro, he will fix you up but it was a 45$ surprise too much today.
