À propos de Colin

Colin is a Registered Acupuncturist (R. Ac) who has been practicing acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2013. Born and raised in Ottawa, Colin grew up in a family that operated a Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic, where he was introduced to TCM from an early age before going on to pursue his own studies in acupuncture and health sciences. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Health Science and is registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). Colin approaches each patient through two complementary lenses: the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a modern understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics. Drawing from both perspectives helps him build a more complete picture of a patient’s concerns and the different factors that may be contributing to how they feel. This means looking beyond an isolated symptom. For someone experiencing pain, this may involve considering the surrounding muscles, joints, nerves, and movement patterns. For concerns such as stress, sleep, digestion, or fatigue, treatment may take into account broader patterns involving the body’s different systems, daily habits, and overall well-being. Treatments are individualized and may incorporate acupuncture, cupping, and manual techniques, along with simple exercises or strategies patients can use between appointments when appropriate. Colin believes acupuncture should feel approachable rather than mysterious. A major part of his practice is helping patients better understand their concerns, the reasoning behind their treatment, and how Traditional Chinese Medicine can complement a modern approach to health and wellness.
