Cassidy is a recent graduate of the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Allison University. His undergraduate thesis explored the effects of meditation on attention, contributing to a broader interest in the relationship between cognition, self-awareness, and emotional well-being.
He works primarily with adolescents and adults experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, self-esteem difficulties, emotional regulation concerns, and major life transitions. He takes an integrative and client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based practices and tailoring treatment to meet each individual's unique needs, strengths, and goals.
At the core of his work is the belief that feeling safe, understood, and accepted is an essential foundation for meaningful therapeutic change. He strives to create a warm, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves openly and authentically.
His therapeutic approach is collaborative and engaging. While validation, empathy, and support are central to his practice, he also helps clients explore patterns, develop new perspectives, and build practical skills that support growth and lasting change. He believes therapy is most effective when clients feel empowered to better understand themselves and actively participate in their own healing process.
He has a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, emotional challenges, identity development, relationship concerns, and life transitions. He is also committed to ongoing professional development and continues to expand his knowledge in areas such as couples therapy, sexual health, and emerging therapeutic approaches.
Through a genuine and collaborative therapeutic relationship, he aims to help clients strengthen self-awareness, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.
