À propos de Amy

Originally from Saskatchewan, Amy Fahlman brings a wealth of experience and valuable perspective to the team. After convocating from the University of Saskatchewan with distinction, she worked in a private practice setting with a strong focus on manual therapy. She mentored with renowned manual therapists across the country, where she developed her keen intuition and feel. She completed a Masters of Clinical Science in manipulative therapy from the University of Western Ontario, and graduated as the top of her class. She has completed her KinetaCore Functional Dry Needling level 2 training. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT) — Canada’s member organization in the international manual therapy monitoring body, IFOMPT (International Federation of Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapists). Amy is also one of the founders of Entry to Practice Essentials, a web-based study tool for the physiotherapy licensing exams. Amy encourages her patients to live their best life. She understands most people would not be seeking physiotherapy unless they were experiencing pain that limits an important aspect of their life. She helps her patients understand their injury and get control of their pain so they can get back to doing what they love. She has experience in working with both CrossFit and endurance athletes, and a particular interest in teaching power training to improve output for endurance sports. Her rehabilitative style focuses on using exercise and manual therapy to improve muscle recruitment and imbalances, develop tissue strength, balance and stability to allow for a safe return to pre-injury activity. Growing up in rural Western Canada, Amy developed a love for outdoor adventure. To complete her passion for health and fitness, she spends her time outdoors: running, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, canoeing, traveling and back country camping while spending quality time with her family, friends, and animals.
