Wonderful service! The personnel are truly incredible. To top it off, the design of the place is so cool! I would recommend this lunetterie to everyone.

Excellent service! Especially, Dr Nguyen was very attentive and professional. During my exam, he explained the results of my retinal imaging in detail, listened to my concerns. Highly recommend for a thorough exam! The staff was super helpful and friendly.

Very friendly staff, beautiful glasses and location, good variety for small faces like mine.

At first it started REALLY good. The people are very nice and helpful and the products look really good. I bought 5 pairs in my visit; 1 sunglasses and 4 prescription glasses because they had a sale going on. I recall extremely vividly the price I was quoted was $1431 but they charged me a $100 more. I didn’t notice right away because I paid in two installments. The explanation was because of the sunglasses to which the discount doesn’t apply. Through I’m more than certain that I was told it applied. I share the blame because I should have also looked at the invoices right on the spot…. I was excited to get a couple more pairs of glasses but it felt I was cheated and certainly wouldn’t go back.

I was in Montreal visiting my daughter in The Plateau when I accidentally broke the wire on my eyeglasses. I came to Les Branchés Lunetterie on a Friday afternoon when they were quite busy, but they were super friendly and helpful… and told me to leave the glasses and they would fix them. I came back early the next morning and they were repaired as promised. Will definitely come back next time I have eyeglass needs

*DISCLAIMER will not be getting glasses here due to my prescription level, which I will be outlining below. The rating is based, however, on my telephone and in-person experience* Long story short: this place is great if your prescription is on the lower end and want funky glasses! I would've loved to get glasses here. Detail: I called in advance to ask if they are able to cater to an unusual -10.00 prescription. I had already called a few optical shops, and they had given me an estimation of the cost of the lenses when asked, given that no doubt I am going to get the highest priced lenses. Les Branchés, however, only said to come in store to confirm the prices... A few days later, I came in the store, and I was bewildered by how beautiful it was. Glasses were hanging from wires. I was barely greeted and was left to my devices. If you're looking for fun glasses (which I was), this is the store for you! Once I sought help from another person (who was wonderful, shout out to Audrey), she explained to me that one half of the store was in-house frames, and the other half was third-party frames. Based on that, there are only 2 prices for frames. The prices nonetheless are very reasonable. The in-house frames were fuunnkkyy, which I loved. You can tell by touch that the frames were on the artisanal side (not the most refined mass-produced frames), but that didn't deter me. Note that I was suggested to have a styling session to pick out the frames at a later time, but I was like, why not now? We chose together from the vast range of frames, keeping in mind how my lens will be affected. Regarding the lenses: I am being quoted $300 on the lenses. There were only 3 levels of lenses, and that's the highest. As mentioned, I have gotten various estimations, and my prescription results in lenses starting from $500. When I asked what is the quality of the lenses, I was told that they're the standard, generic, commonly used ones in the industry. I am going with gut feeling on this because I need lenses that can last me years. The positioning of the store is to offer a PERSONALIZED EXPERIENCE THROUGHOUT (I have never encountered an optical shop that has a piano, a styling appointment or told me to come into the store after a small telephone query). As much as I loved the frames, I need to have better lenses. I have pursued an optical shop that has various lens options, multiple levels within those, and a guarantee on them. This review is for long-time glasses users who I know want nice glasses but also need to take into account the lens itself. * Please note you have to go up a flight of stairs. I did not notice an elevator, so the Plateau location is not very accessible. *

This 5-star review is my way of thanking the owner. I went for reading/computer glasses. Second pair there. This time I was not happy with the service, mostly subjectively, so when they ended up giving me a bad product I was admittedly quicker to anger than usual. The owner really had to dig deep and remain composed when speaking to me, and offered an exceptionally satisfying solution (I think for both of us). The place itself is large, well-lit, clean and friendly. If you don't mind hipstery vibes(/prices) you will not have my (subjective) problem. As to my objective problem, instead of complaining (I did enough of that to the owner), I will offer a solution: Educate yourself on the kind of lens you need: [Short rant]: The prices vary greatly, and their order of presentation - if it's a particularly commission-hungry agent (muggering you in the name of Capitalism) - seems to work top-down, where the option is ONLY the most expensive lens, until you protest enough. My mistake is that I should have protested enougher (while protesting-away the "progrersive" 3-foci lens, I got muggered finally with the "degressive" lens, 2-foci, while really all I needed was a single-focus lens (whatever "-gressive" they call it, maybe ag-gressive) that sees 1m farther than my previous, single-focus pair. A good agent would first look at my history and what I had, and try to solve my problem through the product they choose; but the agent ended up giving me a more expensive lens, that I had to wait for much much longer than the previous one, and whose "computer focus" was eventually even worse than my present glasses! But, like I said, my complaint was dealt with quickly and professionally. S PS (to the P.A. response below) I did NOT set out to write a "kind" review -- too much to ask from someone who's angry, imo - but a FAIR one. After all, these reviews are meant to inform future customers ofthe *business in question*, not the reviewer.

I first came here because they were the only place in Montreal with the frame that I wanted. Then I came back because the price of the lenses are half the price of Antoine Laoun. You can tell they are cheaper quality but I am gentle with my glasses so it's ok for me. My experience with the staff was good the first time but since then it has been off. The last visit was particularly bad. Told 2 staff what I wanted (and didn't want) very clearly but it wasn't respected after I was passed on to other staff. When I saw the bill, I pointed out the error but I was made to feel like I made the mistake. The angry attitude didn't change and there definitely was no apology for the mix up. So I agree with the others who didn't have a good customer service experience here. It's also frustrating when you need to get new frames. They don't seem to have any training on facial shapes and what to suggest and browsing for frames is stressful and aggravating. Lower prices are the only reason to come here (if you can handle their weird ways of doing things)

Unique one of a kind frames, great price and service. Very comfy. Atmosphere and after sale service. I have been wearing contacts for the past 30 years, this is the first pair I feel comfortable in and look good in- no more contacts!! Thanks
