“My permanent wire came unglued over the weekend, so I called to book an appointment for the following Monday. I specifically confirmed with the receptionist that this was a service they could provide and asked about the cost. She confirmed the appointment and told me it would be around $100 for the consultation and reglue. Unfortunately, the dentist clearly didn’t know what he was doing. The wire was reglued poorly, felt extremely uncomfortable, and I couldn’t bite down properly afterward. I ended up needing to book a follow-up appointment with an orthodontist later that same week to have it removed and reglued correctly. I was charged a little over $200. It was explained to me that they technically should have charged an emergency fee and billed for four teeth instead of two, which would have brought the total closer to $400. Honestly, there is no way I would have paid that, so I guess it’s a good thing they applied a “good samaritan” discount. I won’t be returning. Lesson learned: if you need ortho work done, (yes, even a wire reglue) go see an ortho.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“Fantastic dentist in old Montréal. We joked about how your dentist is responsible for your mental health just like your barrista is. If your depressed floss your teeth. If your anxious brush them. If nothing works make an appointment with your dentist. My dentist Gabriel and his assistant Abigail are exceptional. They are nice people and have your best interests at heart while using their gifts in the dental office to make you look and feel wonderful. And is it not what it's all about. “I went in for a cleaning and general checkup with Dr. Gabriel Kakon. The process was very pleasant - he was patient and gentle and always checking in on any discomforts I could have been feeling. “I first went to Clinique Dentaire du Vieux Montréal for an Invisalign consultation with Dr. Gabriel Kakon. He took his time to listen to my needs and what end result I was hoping for. I was blown away by the technology. He was able to show me a 3D digital model of what my mouth looked like and how my teeth would shift week by week by using the Invisalign trays. He was very thorough, professional, gentle, and overall a very nice person. The clinic is nicely renovated and the staff is very friendly. I used to dread going to the dentist but not anymore. “I've been going to the CDVM for over 15 years and as far as I can remember, the care is and always has been impeccable. All procedures, small or big, are always prefaced with detailed explanations and done gently and carefully. If I leave the clinic without a follow up appointment, I can rest assured that I will be contacted close to my next "supposed" appointment and that I will not fall through the cracks.
