“I didn’t like their cancellation policy, they charge customers cancellation for less than 24 hrs notice while they cancel their customers appointment without prior notice. Please treat your customers with the same standard you would like them to uphold you.”

“tl;dr: - Business cancels appointments on client - Staff member tries to blame client for the cancellations - Business doubles down and then tries to mischaracterize the situation A family member had an unpleasant experience with an administrative staff member regarding cancelled appointments. The staff member behaved in an unprofessional manner when challenged about the accuracy of her information. She escalated the situation with defensive remarks, refused to continue the conversation to sort out her misunderstanding, and hung up the phone. Ultimately, after another conversation in which no accountability was taken, we decided to disengage with this business. I would recommend that the administrative staff undergo customer engagement training to avoid similar situations in the future. This was completely avoidable. Otherwise, everything was perfectly fine up to this point. Amended as per the owner's uninformed response: - The account is true, unfortunately. - Their system makes no distinction between appointments cancelled by the customer and those cancelled by the business (or they don't track this properly). As we attempted to communicate by recounting our record of your cancellations, Avail cancelled multiple appointments due to therapist illness, which we accepted gracefully. One of those happened minutes before the appointment after travelling for the appointment. - There was a cancellation on our side due to a sick child, and your staff member's response was, "OK, we'll give you that one." - The money is not the issue here. It's that you made a mistake, were unwilling to acknowledge it, and how poorly your staff member handled it. - Your employee also brought up a late cancellation from four months ago due to Covid, about which your employee expressed disbelief during the phone call. - All other dates cited by your staff member were appointments cancelled by Avail. And this is just a complete mischaracterization, if not outright dishonest: "Then the client was informed they had to pay for the missed appt and they were unhappy about this. And told us they wished not to use our services any longer, where they had to pay for the massage". You backtracked on requesting a payment before we let you know we would no longer be a customer.”
