“I recently fractured my thumb and was provided with a basic splint by the Ottawa hospital until I was able to be seen by their occupational physiotherapist. However, due to their backlog, I was advised that the wait for an appointment would be at least three weeks. Hoping to obtain a custom splint sooner, I booked an appointment with this Anatomy clinic. In my intake form, I clearly explained my situation and stated that the sole purpose of the appointment was to be fitted for a custom splint. When I arrived, I explained my circumstances to the physiotherapist, who informed me that this clinic does not create custom splints. At that point, the appointment was effectively unable to address the reason I had booked it. What was most frustrating was that this situation could have been avoided entirely had my intake form been reviewed before the appointment. If someone had noticed that I was seeking a service the clinic does not provide, I could have been informed beforehand and avoided the appointment altogether. The physiotherapist was professional, understanding, and sympathetic to the situation. Since little of the appointment had been used and the purpose of the visit could not be fulfilled, I suggested paying either a reduced assessment fee or even the cancellation fee. The physiotherapist contacted their manager to discuss possible options. Unfortunately, the manager declined any compromise and insisted on charging the full assessment fee despite the fact that the appointment could not provide the service I had specifically booked for. My frustration is not that the clinic does not offer custom splints. Not every clinic offers every service. My frustration is that my intake information appears not to have been reviewed, resulting in a wasted appointment, and that no accommodation was made afterward despite the circumstances. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the clinic. *** UPDATE *** Following my review, the physiotherapist I met with spoke further with management and reached out to me personally to discuss my concerns. He followed up several times afterward and was consistently professional, respectful, and genuinely committed to resolving the situation. He contacted Canada Life directly to clarify how a refund could be handled and confirmed that any reimbursement would not negatively impact my insurance coverage. Initially, I was offered a refund on the condition that I remove my review, which made me uncomfortable. Instead, I indicated that I would be willing to update my review to reflect the actions taken after the appointment and the efforts made to address my concerns. While I still believe the situation could have been avoided, I also believe it is important to acknowledge the professionalism, communication, and effort that followed in working toward a resolution. The clinic ultimately agreed to refund the assessment fee, and I appreciate the efforts made afterward to address my concerns.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“Top physiotherapist + speaks perfect Spanish I had an excellent recovery with Santi Tellez. He’s super professional, explains everything step by step, and you can tell he knows his stuff. The thing I value most is that he speaks excellent Spanish, so communication is crystal clear. No misunderstandings with exercises or instructions. Ecellent human being, good energy. The physiotherapist Jean-Luc was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain what was happening with my body and how different treatments would help in different ways. “I was referred to Andrew Dings by the Ottawa Dizziness Clinic following a diagnosis of vestibular neuritis. I was struggling with severe symptoms that made it impossible to work, drive or function. After just a few weeks of vestibular therapy with Andrew, I saw a notable improvement in my symptoms. Following his treatment plan and working closely with him, I was able to overcome the symptoms of the neuritis and resume normal life activities, such as work, driving and experiencing happiness! Andrew was knowledgeable, professional, and explained exactly what was causing my symptoms. He is very compassionate towards his patients. “I had been dealing with chronic low back pain for a long time and had honestly started to feel like it was just something I was going to have to live with, but JL made me feel like real improvement was actually possible. What stood out most was how clearly he explained my condition and helped me understand what was actually going on instead of just giving me exercises and sending me on my way. He is also very kind, patient, and easy to talk to, which made a big difference throughout the process.
